Category Safety & Protection

Stay safe while plasma cutting with proper PPE and risk controls. Wear safety glasses plus a cutting helmet/face shield with an appropriate shade, flame-resistant jacket and gloves, closed-toe leather boots, and hearing protection. Control fumes and ozone with local extraction, a water table, or strong outdoor airflow; use respiratory protection as needed and avoid cutting coated/galvanized metals without ventilation. Clear combustibles, secure the workpiece, and clamp the work lead to clean metal. Keep cords and air lines tidy, respect duty cycle, and let the torch cool before changing consumables. Use dry, filtered air to prevent double-arcing. Follow lockout/tagout when servicing, and keep a Class ABC extinguisher and first-aid kit within reach.
